ninjago cole fanart // pencil, pen, watercolor

hey guys!

first off, we're gonna try and make this post a quick one, so here we go... 

this is cole from the ninjago tv series, and this sketch illustrates how i put the proverbial cherry on the cake to finish off a sketch.

a simple sketch... nothing special, tucked in the corner of my sketchbook

framed with a green rectangle of cheap coloring pens

lined with a dark green le pen and a few details added to his face in pencil

quick wash of watercolor over the green to smooth it out

finished

trip to the lego store // photography

   Hey guys! It's me again, and I'm going to share with you one (only one, mind you) of my childhood obsessions.

   Yep, the toys for boys! The bucket of bricks I inherited from my older brother when he moved out drove me into a world of buildable fun.

   My favorite sets were Star Wars, the biggest of my collection. I'll have to show you sometime. I've got a bunch... but, quick tip, don't get the retired Endor Base set. It falls apart and will make the cheese slid off your cracker.

   I also really like the Ninjago sets, as well as their movie and TV show. But no spoilers, I've only gotten as far as the tournament of elements!

   The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit sets are also really great. I love my Hobbit Hole :) Not to  mention my wisdom (oh glory, there goes my ego again) in saving up my VIP points for the big purchase.

   Anyway, while my sister was checking out the American Girl Store (check out her blog with many of the photos taken by myself here), I raced over to the Lego store to get a few pictures.

   But dude, whoever sets up this whole display thing should really rethink their scheme! It was hard to get any good pictures, and even with major editing, most of them didn't turn out at all.

Quick note... these pictures are rather old, so the sets displayed are outdated.

And the Jurassic World sets! I loved the movie, and am pretty excited about the sets. The only setback is that they're a bit too expensive for my taste, and that Claire's stubby Lego legs aren't high-heeled. Humph.

Well, I've done it

Hello, everyone! Welcome to my blog!

My name is Darrion Marine, and as you probably already know, I'm Willow Silver's younger sister. She has been telling me for quite some time to do my own blog, and now I have finally done it!

At the moment, I only have two blogs: The Call, which I share with my sister, and Sincerely Darrion, which is all mine. I hope you have time to check the other one out, and please, leave a comment if you like something. I'm always looking for new ideas on what to post about and would love to hear your opinion on both this blog and The Call.

Now, as an introduction post, I'm going to say a few things about me...

I am a Bible believing Christian, and I often seem like an outgoing person on the outside, but I'm really quite shy on the inside. I really like to take books and their characters and write little stories on what I think they would be like. Like Fili and Kili from The Hobbit. I'm writing mini stories on them and their childhood. I am also doing the same thing with Thorin, before he became Thorin Oakenshield. Hopefully I'll finish them soon, and then they will be posted on The Call.

Anyway, here are some pictures that describe me.

I am a bit clumsy at times, and others are often in the lead as I lag behind. I just need a little guidance. So you can guess which one of these Ninjas is me.

Willow and I are best friends and we work together, unlike a lot of sisters these days, I hear.
